CONCERNING HOLY COMMUNION: According to Christ’s Word in Holy Scripture, and in confession of the true Christian faith, we observe the ancient evangelical practice of closed communion. We believe that those who commune together must confess the same holy faith, just as the Scriptures teach. Since one’s church affiliation indicates one’s confession of faith, only those aught to commune who are communicant members of, or whose church is in confessional fellowship with, the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. If you have any questions, or have never communed at St. James before, please contact Pastor. If you would like to receive a blessing, please cross your arms over your chest.

PEW CARDS: In each pew, we are using Pew Cards for special contact with Pastor. There is a visitor’s side that we invite guests to fill out for us. Additionally, members may fill out the card if they desire prayer requests or a visit from Pastor. Cards may be placed in the offering plate and they will get to Pastor’s desk.
NOMINATIONS FOR LAY VOTER, SYNODICAL PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT: We at St. James will be gathering names for nominations for Synodical President and VP, which will be elected in the summer. We also need to elect from among us a lay voter. Registration for electors is due by February 18.
LWML MEETING: All ladies are welcome to stay for a brief LWML meeting following worship today. Members are needed to assist with the St. James Cookbook project.
