CONCERNING HOLY COMMUNION: According to Christ’s Word in Holy Scripture, and in confession of the true Christian faith, we observe the ancient evangelical practice of closed communion. We believe that those who commune together must confess the same holy faith, just as the Scriptures teach. Since one’s church affiliation indicates one’s confession of faith, only those aught to commune who are communicant members of, or whose church is in confessional fellowship with, the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. If you have any questions, or have never communed at St. James before, please contact Pastor. If you would like to receive a blessing, please cross your arms over your chest.

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDIES: All members and guests are encouraged and invited to join one of our Bible Studies that we have here at St. James after Church. Adults join in the Parish Hall studying the Fruits of the Spirit. Elementary children are down in the Childcare Wing. Junior and Senior High students are invited to join us in the Library (Pastor’s old office) for an Apologetics Study. Catechesis will take place after Sunday school.
TIME IS RUNNING OUT: Don’t forget to turn in your favorite recipes for our church cookbook by March 31st, to Margo, Krista, Abby, or Jan. The committee will meet briefly following worship this morning.
KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS: If you shop at Kroger you can direct reward dollars to our Childcare or Church. It is easy to sign up: just go to Kroger.com and under About Us click on Community Rewards and just follow the prompts. Every dollar helps!
ANNUAL REPORTS need to be submitted before the end of the month for every board.
EASTER EGG HUNT: Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 4th, at the White County Fairgrounds at 10.00 AM. We will be setting up for it at 9. We’d appreciate any help we could get. Additionally, after today’s service, we will be down in the parish hall preparing the eggs for next week’s hunt. We still need many volunteers to help today and next Saturday morning.
DEEPLY ROOTED will be meeting Sunday, April 12 at noon over at the Parsonage. Lunch will be provided. Singles, couples, parents and children alike are all welcome to come for fellowship and the building up of faith in Christ as a congregation.
SAVE THE DATE: The LWML Logansport Zone Spring Gathering will be held April 18th at Redeemer Lutheran, 510 Lindberg Road, West Lafayette, IN 47906. Registration begins at 9:00 A.M. See Margo if interested in attending.
WE HAVE EXTRA T-SHIRTS: If anyone in the congregation could use some T-shirts there are extras leftover from our Thrivent events. Please check the table in the fellowship hall. There are all sizes available!!
CHURCH CLEAN-UP: We are planning a clean-up for the outside grounds of our church and the playground. Bring rakes, gloves, whatever you think is needed for this project. Remember, many hands make little work! Saturday, April 11th at 9:00 a.m.
