Those Serving Us Today: Pastor: Rev. Andrew P. Keller; Deacon: Jon Schroeder Organist: Linda Hall

CONCERNING HOLY COMMUNION: According to Christ’s Word in Holy Scripture, and in confession of the true Christian faith, we observe the ancient evangelical practice of closed communion. We believe that those who commune together must confess the same holy faith, just as the Scriptures teach. Since one’s church affiliation indicates one’s confession of faith, only those aught to commune who are communicant members of, or whose church is in confessional fellowship with, the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. If you have any questions, or have never communed at St. James before, please contact Pastor. If you would like to receive a blessing, please cross your arms over your chest.

THOSE WE ARE KEEPING IN OUR PRAYERS: (Please contact Pastor or Linda Hall by Friday of each week to add petitions or update current information.)

For all the sick, suffering, enduring, and recovering: Lori Allen, Lisa Crosby, Ginni Davis, Frank Dent, Carlita Gossell, Gary Gossell, Linda Hankee, Mike Howard, Janet Keefe, Cindi Kent, Anita Mattos, Terry Mattos, Riley Maxson, James Reinhardt, Sheila Ryan, Marlene Schroeder, Judy Stoller, Dorothy Welther, Theresa Willner.

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDIES: All members and guests are encouraged and invited to join one of our Bible Studies that we have here at St. James following worship. Adults meet in the Parish Hall following coffee time. Elementary children are in the Childcare Wing. Junior and Senior High students are invited to join us in the Library (Pastor’s old office) for an Apologetics Study. Catechesis will take place following Sunday school.

For the Adult Bible Study, we will be examining the book Lutheranism 101. Simply put, if you are new to Lutheranism or would like a refresher course, this is the time to join. We will be providing books available for each family.

VOTERS MEETING: will take place after church.

BAPTISM: We give thanks to God that Grayson James Gutterman (son of Jerome and Lauren Gutterman) was washed by water and the Word and made an heir of Christ’s death and resurrection this morning. His sponsors are Michael and Stephanie Woodhams. God’s continued blessings to you, Grayson!

MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDY: will take place each Wednesday at 6:30pm. We will begin with Responsive Prayer in the sanctuary and continue with our study in the library. All are welcome and encouraged to come!

PORTALS OF PRAYER & LUTHERAN WOMEN’S QUARTERLY: The July - September Edition of Portals of Prayer and the Summer 2026 Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly are now available in the narthex.

ST. JAMES AT THE FAIR: Thank you to everyone who was able to help out at the fair last night!
