GERMAN DINNER: Most of us know the work that goes into making this St. James’ tradition a success…all the work preparing and setting up and then cleaning up afterward. We will be setting & preparing foods on Saturday, October 10th, at 8:00 a.m. and October 13th in the basement. If you haven’t already done so, please plan on helping when/how you can assist with the dinner preparation, service, etc. Again, with your help, and by working together, this year’s German Dinner & Bazaar will be a blessed success as in past years. BAZAAR SHOP: Please bring any items for the Bazaar Shop on Tuesday morning. You may also bring them in on Sunday if it is more convenient. Please put your Name, Price, and if it is food item - a description.
DIAPERS & WIPES DRIVE: During the month of September we will be collecting diapers and baby wipes for Derek & Jessica Carty. Please place the donations in the narthex of the church. Donations can still be brought in through next Sunday. Thank you.

ST. JAMES COOKBOOKS ARE HERE!! You can claim yours downstairs in the fellowship hall following worship. The cost is $15 each.
IMPORTANT LWML MEETING: Ladies, please attend an important LWML meeting on Monday, September 28th at 6:30 pm. Discussions include changes to future funeral dinners, St. James hosting the LWML Spring Gathering, and Cookbook sales.
ST. MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH - MEDARYVILLE: will be holding its 150th Anniversary celebration with a Vespers Service on Sunday, October 4th, at 4:00 p.m. (EST). The service will be followed by a meal. All are welcome.
The new Portals of Prayer and LWML Quarterlies are now available in the narthex.
BIBLE STUDY: There will be no midweek Bible Study on Wednesday, September 30. We will continue on October 7.
REFORMATION FESTIVAL SOUP COOKOFF & DESSERT BAKE: Watch the bulletin for more information. This will be held on October 25th. Purchase one of the new cookbooks and find a soup and/or dessert recipe to make.
SUNDAY SCHOOL HELP NEEDED: We are needing someone to step up and help with our Sunday School since both of our teachers are expecting. Questions and/or volunteers can contact Pastor or Maggie.
